Group of High Voltage Technology and Equipment

The history of the High Voltage Laboratory and the Group of High Voltage Technology and Equipment dates back to 1936. Ever since the group is interested in questions of high voltage technology, like electrostatics, electrical insulation technology, lightning research and protection, live line maintenance (LLM), overvoltage and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electrical heating technology, building electrification, illumination engineering, electrical switching devices and equipment. Besides the education at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the main activities of the Group of High Voltage Technology and Equipment are related to diagnostic examination, certification, research, development and other electrical industrial work commissioned by industry partners.
