The Group of High Voltage Technology and Equipment educates students of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The electrical engineering curriculum contains subjects related to electric energy and high voltage technology. For demonstration and education purposes subjects are supplemented with measurements and shows in the The High Voltage Laboratory and in the KNX Laboratory. Measurements in the Laboratory form a vital part of the education of electrical engineering, environmental engineering and mechanical engineering and other subjects educated by Group of High Voltage Technology and Equipment.

The Department of Electric Power Engineering and the Group of High Voltage Technology and Equipment within endeavors to offer interesting, practical and useful research topics, which are beneficial in the curriculum and are supported by industry. Students performing project work are also offered to join in the research of the group.
